She married Joshua Rickman, son of John and Nancy Whitaker Rickman, in Fairview on June 24, 1850. Naomi and Joshua Rickman moved to Sullivan Co., Missouri by 1861. Naomi died there on September 20, 1870. She was buried in the White Cemetery. Joshua Rickman died October 3, 1903 in Blackburn, Arkansas.

Father Eldad Reed III was born December 9, 1799, in Rowan (Davidson) County. The son of Eldad and Aeshia Lanning Reed ll. He married Elizabeth Gallimore, daughter of Asa Gallimore. In the late summer or fall of 1860, Eldad Reed III moved with most of his children to Sullivan County, Missouri. He bought a farm in Jackson Township and died there in 1865. Elizabeth Reed is buried in Cane Creek Cemetery near her husband’s parents. Eldad is buried in Sullivan County, Missouri. They had eleven children.

ELDAD REED I: - Born September 16, 1767, Rowan County, NC. Third son of William Reed III and Jean Reed, his wife. Married Ashea Lanning, daughter of Joseph Lanning and Maggie Lanning, the 29th day of August 1793. Ashea Lanning was born May 4th 1766. They lived in Rowan County until 1803, then moved to what is now Buncombe County, NC, locating on Cane Creek, near the present site of Fairview, NC. Eldad Reed was a Baptist.
He died in 1837 and is buried beside Ashea Lanning Reed, his wife, in the old Cane Creek Baptist Church cemetery near Fairview.

Aeshea Lanning daughter of Joseph and Marg. (?) Lee (?) Lanning was born on the 4th May 1760 and was married on Thursday 5th Sept in Roan Co 1793. They moved from thence to Buncombe Co. in May 1803. Buried Cane Creek Grave Yard Buncombe Co. Anna Reed daughter of Eldad and Aeshia was born Wed 10th Dec near 6 oclock in the morning 1806. Annie Reed married William Clummons. Joseph R. Reed 1st son of Eldad & Aeshea Lanning Reed moved to Lawrence Co., Ind. and is buried there in the Reed Cemetery on his place. Joseph died Dec 28, 1846 aged 49 yrs 7 mo 17 days. His wife Nancy Reed born April 20th 1792 died Sept 15, 1874 / Married Nancy Rickman. They had a son Hiram, a daughter Martha married William Rennick.
